What is Universal Design for Learning?

Universal Design for Learning is an inclusive strategy that acknowledges the needs and varied educational backgrounds, learning abilities, interests and attention spans. These aspects are used when creating diverse learning experiences.

 

According to the World Health Organization, over 1 billion people, about 15 percent of the global population, experience disability in one form or another. More specifically in the United States 61 million adults, 26 percent (1 in 4 adults) live with a disability according to the Center for Disease Control.
